Community Garden Project

The Community Garden Project, addresses the mental health needs of refugees in overcrowded and resource-scarce camps. By transforming a garden space in the Za'atari refugee camp in Jordan, the project aims to promote mental well-being, foster community engagement, and support skill development. Refugees can participate in therapeutic horticulture programs, enhancing their mental health while gaining valuable gardening skills. The garden also helps improve food security by supplementing residents' diets with home-grown vegetables and herbs. This initiative leverages the healing power of nature to provide a sustainable and culturally sensitive approach to mental health care for displaced individuals.
